INSTALLATION: The program is for Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows Millennium Edition, Windows NT, Windows 2000 and Windows XP. Uninstall previous version of DJ Java Decompiler (if there are any). Unzip djdec377.zip file into any appropriate directory on your hard drive. This will create file SetupDJ.exe. To install or re-install DJ Java Decompiler run SetupDJ.exe To run DJ Java Decompiler setup you must have MS Windows Installer v.1.00 or above installed. (see your \Windows\SYSTEM folder - MSIEXEC.EXE and MSI.DLL). This files are about 2MB. For this reason I don't include MSIEXEC in setup program. MINIMUM SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS: 1. Intel?Pentium?200 MHz or higher 2. 32 MB RAM (64 Mb recommended) HOW TO USE DJ JAVA DECOMPILER: To decompile a single JAVA class file you can: 1. Select Open and load your desired class file. 2. Double-click the CLASS file you want to decompile. 3. Drag-and-drop your desired class file on the DJ Java Decompiler window. DJ Java Decompiler supports drag-and-drop functions for OLE. 4. In Windows Explorer Right mouse-button pop-up menu available too. 5. To decompile a .JAR file select the .JAR file -> In Windows Explorer Right mouse-button click -> pop-up menu "Open with..." -> DJ -> "Archiver" tool -> "Decompile" button. You can can also associate "Archiver" tool with .JAR files from "Archiver" main menu. NEW IN THIS VERSION: 1. Some bugs fixed: syntax colorizing strings bug is fixed ... 2. Ctrl+F4 - File|Close shortcut is added. 3. New decompiler options added. "Display long integers using the specified radix" and "Display integers using the specified radix" - 8, 10 or 16 options added. 4. New features in "Configuration" -> "Appearance and colors" forms added ("Adjust line breaks") . THE STATUS OF DJ JAVA DECOMPILER: DJ Java Decompiler is Freeware. NOTE: Some older virus scanners (like Mcafee) can flag DJ.exe or Archiver.exe as being virus-infected. WHY IS A DJ JAVA DECOMPILER USEFUL: 1. Doing development in both eclipse and having an instance of DJ Java Decompiler can lock the Windows clipboard, preventing DJ from accessing the clipboard data. This then pops up an exception dialog ("Cannot open clipboard."). This same strange behavior noticed when executing a CTRL+C action or CTRL+X. It seems however to be a bug in combination with eclipse. But this bug doesn't occur under Windows 95 and 98. It's look like in eclipse the standard java clipboard solution is not used.
