详细说明： The book before you brings the body into a discourse that has until now concentrated mainly on the perceptual intakes of the ve senses, rather than concerning itself with the things we encounter and the events of which we form part. Gendlin gives the name en#1 to a model of an ostensibly external perceptual world of colors and sounds that are the contents of separate acts of sensing. This is a world of sheer sensory in- puts mistakenly taken as real objects (seeing is believing), as if they were out there, fully formed, waiting to be discovered.1 He contrasts this world with the world generated by body-environment interactions, which he designates as en#2. On this very different model, neither body nor en- vironment gures as a separate term: each is what it is only in its identity with the other. Taking en#1 as ultimate has been a mistake in the Western tradition.
